Holiday Cottage

Kitchen and Gallery

To the left is a view of the kitchen area of the holiday cottage as seen from the main living area. To the right there is a passageway leading to the bathroom and double bedroom. Above the kitchen area is the gallery room which has a double futon for extra sleeping, or for use as a raised seating area. From the church-style window there is a view of the coast near the fishing village of Baltimore and Cape Clear Island.

The cottage is heated by a wood-burning stove in the living room, and there is a washing machine and washing line for laundry. There is a television and VCR in the living room along with various games and puzzles for a rainy day.

This is the living room area of the holiday cottage with the wood burning stove in the centre. The slate floor is visible and is laid throughout the whole of the cottage. The rafters are exposed and give a true feeling of space. When the stove is lit the gallery room above the kitchen is extremely warm and cosy. Click here for a full size image.
